The eye mask has a heating element inside the eye pad, and you need to plug in a USB port to drive it to heat. The heated eye mask can reach 50℃ (max), which is a suitable temperature. It will automatically shut off when the timer expires. Thus, it is safe to use.
Can using heat mask on eyes irritate skin?
 
We recommend you do not use the heated eye mask if you have an irritating skin because it may cause discomfort of your eyes.

The mask is dry, you can add eye drops to my eyes and put the mask on, and the warmth can makes your eyes water naturally.
Can I take out the heating element to wash the cover?
 
We are sorry to tell you that the heating element cannot be taken out from the inside of the eye pad. You can handwash the surface of the eye pad in the water gently.
