How long will this battery last?
 
Our lithium ion batteries enable more than 3,000 charge and discharge cycles at 80% DOD (Depth of Discharge), which allows for around a 10-year lifetime of daily use.
Does this battery have low temperature protection?
 
Yes, the improved BMS works with a low temp sensor to provide complete low temperature protection. When the temp reaches 23℉~41℉ / -5℃~5℃, this lithium battery will stop being charged, and when the temp reaches -13℉~5℉ / -25℃~-15℃, the battery will stop discharging.
Can I wire these batteries in series and in parallel?
 
Yes, these Dr.Prepare lithium batteries support series and parallel connection. Please note that you need to use identical batteries to connect.
For optimal performance, we kindly advise you to follow the requirements listed below to connect your batteries together:
1. Fully charge all ready-to-connect batteries.
2. All battery interconnect cables should be the same wire gauge (AWG) and length, and come from the same brand. Otherwise, the impedance will be inconsistent, resulting in unbalanced charge and discharge performance.
3. Connect your batteries one by one in series (up to 4 batteries) or in parallel (up to 4 batteries). Tightly screw all cable connections between the cable lugs and terminals.
Does this battery have low voltage cut-off protection?
 
Yes, it does. When the discharge voltage is lower than 11.1V, the battery will shut off automatically.
What are the charging voltage and charging current for this battery?
 
The maximum charging voltage is 14.6V and the maximum charging current is 50A. For optimal charging performance, we highly recommend adjusting the voltage to 14.2V and using a 20A charger.
Can I use my lead acid battery charger to charge the lithium battery?
 
We recommend using a lithium battery compatible AC to DC charger to charge our LiFePO4 batteries, or else cause unreversible lifespan damage to the batteries. You can also charge these batteries using compatible solar charge controllers and solar panels.
How to properly store this battery?
 
We recommend keeping the battery at 100% state of charge, or at least 30%-50% state of charge. Then disconnect the battery from any load by removing the terminal cables. Highly recommend charging the battery every 6 months when not in use to prevent over-discharge.
When storing the battery for 1-3 months, you can place it in an environment with a temperature range of -4℉~113℉ / -20℃~45℃; when storing it for 1 year, it is recommended to place it in an environment with a temperature range of -4℉~68℉ / -20℃~20℃.

Runs my 24v Trolling Motor all day

Bought two of these for my 24v trolling motor on my 20 ft bay boat in Oct 2023. So far they have been great. Runs my boat all day in strong tide and currents and still has 75% charge. Only takes about an hour or two to charge back up. Been happy so far and recommend.

Good overall value with small quality issues

This 4-pack of 100AH LiFePO4 batteries overall was good. I own five of these now and all but one passed my current and capacity tests. One failed the capacity test but I think it has a mis-matched cell. One of the cells probably has a lower internal resistance and is charging too quickly and triggering the BMS cell protection, which in turn prevents the other cells from receiving a full charge. It still gets about 95% capacity so I'm just going to keep it. That won't matter much in the batter bank where it's going. The price point on these makes it a very good value battery. It's just a straight battery with no display or bluetooth, but that doesn't matter for me since I monitor my batteries by another means.Good communication with the seller. When it shipped, Amazon only gave me one tracking number but the seller quickly provided me with the other tracking numbers so I could track the arrival.

Replaced lead/acid battery on my Grand Design

This replaced a one year old, DEAD lead/acid battery in my 2022 Grand Design 5th wheel. Working great for the first 6 months and I expect it to last far longer than the OEM battery. Dealer wanted over $350 to replace with another lead/acid that would likely die in a year as well in the Arizona heat.
