Description
- 【Save 8.7% More Installation Space】 The Dr.Prepare 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery occupies just 0.47 ft³ (803 in³) — with dimensions of 11.81” (L) × 7.6” (W) × 8.94” (H, including terminals) — making it 8.7% smaller than standard lithium batteries. Smaller footprint — perfect for RVs, vehicles, and solar off-grid systems where every inch matters.
- 【Upgrade to Dr.Prepare LiFePO4 Batteries】 Ditch your heavy sealed lead-acid batteries and switch to the lighter, more reliable, and safer Dr.Prepare 12V LiFePO4 battery. Weighing just 28.5 lbs, it delivers twice the consistent power of standard SLA batteries. Built with an integrated BMS for advanced protection — something SLA batteries simply can't match. Enjoy a longer lifespan with no frequent replacements needed.
- 【Safe BMS Protection with Low & High Temperature Cut-Off】 The built-in BMS offers multiple layers of protection, including smart low and high temperature cut-off, to protect the battery during both charging and discharging — even in extreme conditions. Operation automatically resumes once temperatures return to safe levels.
- 【Charging & Discharging】 Use a compatible AC-to-DC LiFePO4 charger or a solar panel system with a charge controller set to the LiFePO4 battery type. Do not use general-purpose or lead-acid battery chargers. Recommended charging current: 20A (Max: 50A). Maximum continuous discharge current: 100A. After a full 100A discharge, avoid immediately recharging at 50A, as it may trigger the battery's high-temp charging protection.
- 【Series & Parallel Connections】 Dr.Prepare 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery supports both series and parallel configurations. Easily build a 24V, 36V, or 48V system using series connections. Expand capacity to 12V 200Ah, 300Ah, or 400Ah with parallel connections. Supports up to 16 batteries in a combined series-parallel setup, ideal for home backup systems. For any configuration, all connected batteries must be the same model. Not suitable for use as a car starter battery or for cranking boat engines.

Can it be used in cold weather?
Yes — the Dr.Prepare 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery is equipped with low-temperature cut-off protection.
Charging cut-off range: 23℉ to 41℉ (-5℃ to 5℃)
Discharging cut-off range: -13℉ to 5℉ (-25℃ to -15℃)
The battery will automatically resume operation once the temperature rises above the cut-off point, helping to prevent damage in extreme cold conditions.
Can I use my sealed lead-acid battery charger to charge this LiFePO4 battery?
No, you can't. Using a sealed lead-acid (SLA) charger may cause irreversible damage to the battery. You must use a compatible LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) AC-to-DC charger.
If you're using a solar off-grid system, you can charge the battery with solar panels and a charge controller that supports LiFePO4 batteries. Make sure to set the controller to the LiFePO4 battery type and configure the correct charging voltage.
Does this battery have low voltage cut-off protection?
Yes, it does. The battery will automatically shut off when the discharge voltage drops below 9.2V to protect against over-discharge. It will recover once the voltage rises above 11V.
If the battery enters low voltage protection mode, follow these steps to restore it:
1. Disconnect all wiring.
2. Use a LiFePO4-compatible charger or solar charge controller with an activation function.
3. Make sure the ambient temperature is above 41℉ (5℃) and charge the battery until the voltage exceeds 11V.
Will the battery come with terminals? And if not, what size are the connector terminals?
Yes, the battery comes with a pair of M8 × 14mm terminals and a pair of M6-to-M8 adapters.
You can also use M6 × 12mm terminals if needed, but those are not included in the package.
Can I charge the battery directly using a solar panel?
No, you can't. When charging this battery with a solar panel, you must use a solar charge controller (either PWM or MPPT) between the panel and the battery. Directly connecting the panel to the battery can lead to unstable power output, which may damage the battery or connected devices.
Can this battery be used as a starter battery?
No, it can't. This battery is designed for low to moderate continuous power applications that require stable energy storage and delivery, such as RVs, off-grid solar systems, and home energy storage.
It is not suitable for applications that require high starting currents or power surges, such as engine cranking for cars or boats, or use in golf carts.
Can I connect this battery with my old Dr.Prepare batteries?
We do not recommend connecting this battery with older Dr.Prepare batteries. For both series and parallel connections, all batteries should be the same model, from the same brand, and ideally purchased at the same time.
Even slight differences in BMS (Battery Management System) settings between models can lead to performance issues or potential damage.
